Three pricing structures — packaged for the most common kinds of gatherings. Every event is customized in proposal. Use these as starting points for the conversation.
Each retreat is custom-built. These represent typical entry pricing for the most common configurations. Final proposals are tailored to your group size, dates, and specific needs.
Single-day gatherings — board meetings, training sessions, workshops, day retreats — without overnight stay.
The traditional Friday–Sunday or two-night weekday retreat. Lodging, meals, programming space, and full property use.
For large gatherings, leadership cohorts, conferences, or special events that need the entire campus to themselves.
A note on pricing. Final pricing depends on your group size, dates, day-of-week, and specific needs. Mission-driven nonprofits, Episcopal Diocese programs, and recurring repeat clients are eligible for package adjustments. We're transparent about cost in proposal — we don't believe in surprise charges.
Tell us what kind of group you have, what dates you're considering, and what kind of gathering you're imagining. We respond within one business day. Prefer to call? 985-748-6634.
A member of our team responds within one business day to set up a phone call. We'll learn about your group, your traditions, your dietary needs, your AV requirements, and the goals of your gathering. We'll hold dates on the calendar for 14 days.
Most first-time clients visit before they commit. We host site visits on weekdays. An hour on the property tells you everything the website can't.
We send a written proposal that itemizes everything — lodging, meals, meeting spaces, AV, taxes — with clear pricing. No hidden costs, no surprises.
Once you're ready, a signed agreement and a refundable deposit confirm your dates. We'll begin coordinating menus, AV, and logistics with your retreat lead.
Show up to a fully prepared retreat. Rooms ready, meals planned, meeting spaces configured. Your job is to lead your people. Ours is to handle everything else.
The Solomon Center is located at 54296 Highway 445 in Loranger, Louisiana — just north of Lake Pontchartrain in Tangipahoa Parish.
Most groups drive themselves. Bus parking is available for school groups. The drive itself — through pine forest as you leave I-12 — becomes a kind of decompression. By the time you arrive, the city has already started to fall away.
For multi-night retreats, the per-person rate includes a private hotel-style room with linens and towels, three chef-prepared meals daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner) plus refreshments, dedicated meeting space with AV equipment, access to breakout rooms as needed, chapel access, and full use of all property amenities including the lake, pool, trails, pavilion, and chapel.
Yes. Our kitchen accommodates vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, halal, and various food allergies. We work directly with retreat coordinators ahead of arrival to ensure every guest is well fed. Most retreats include a brief dietary intake form for participants.
Absolutely. The chapel is yours during your stay. Bring your own clergy, worship leader, or facilitator. We provide the space and the hospitality; you lead your people. Our Executive Director is an ordained Episcopal priest able to assist with worship.
Yes. WiFi is available throughout the main campus areas — meeting rooms, dining hall, common spaces. Guest rooms also have WiFi access. We've intentionally not installed televisions or telephones in guest rooms, out of respect for the priorities that brought your group here.
Most retreats book 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak months (October, March, July). November dates often have last-minute availability and represent a strong opportunity for groups with date flexibility. Day meetings can sometimes be accommodated within 30 days. We always recommend reaching out as soon as you're considering dates — we hold tentatively for 14 days while you decide.
Yes. We host site visits on weekdays, by appointment. Most first-time clients visit before they commit. An hour walking the property tells you what no website can — the chapel light, the trail under the pines, the way conversation slows down here. Schedule via the contact form.
Our cancellation policy is detailed in your contract and varies by lead time and group size. We're realistic about life — illness, weather, family emergencies happen. Reach out early if you need to reschedule and we'll work with you. Outright cancellation policies depend on how close to event date.
Mission-driven nonprofits, Episcopal Diocese programs, and recurring multi-year clients are eligible for package adjustments. We don't publish discount tiers because they vary by program type and partnership depth. Mention your context in your inquiry — we'll be transparent about what's possible.
We host a small number of private receptions (weddings & funerals) each year — primarily faith-based ceremonies (Episcopal, Catholic, ecumenical) of up to 80 guests. The chapel seats 80; the lakeside gazebo holds outdoor ceremonies. Explore our Small Sacred Services →
Alcohol policy varies by event type and is detailed in your contract. As a faith-rooted ministry, our default is alcohol-free, but we permit responsible service for adult corporate events, wedding receptions, and certain other gatherings. Discuss with your coordinator during planning.
